2 yearversary!

Today is my official 2 year anniversary of living in London! It's crazy how fast time goes by! In celebration here are a few photos from the past year over here!

Drank in Dublin
Got Amsterdamaged
Went to Bath
My first hookah in Turkey
Sloppy nights with my best girl x
Completed my first 5k
A visit from my parents!
Soo many good things happened over this past year in London. I was able to travel and see places that I never thought possible. I got to work and became sponsored at a school I love and made some amazing new friendships through it. Overall I would say it's been a rad year and I can only hope that year 3 will bring me some more awesome experiences.

Cheers to 2 years!

Londony Things

Teaming up with my friend Nikki at Life's Wonderful Happenings we have decided to be more adventurous and take in all that London has to offer. This being said we have agreed to do at least 1 'Londony' thing a month to enjoy the place we live in. Because lets face it London is such a great city and has so much going and since I'm living here I should full immerse myself in all it has ot offer.

Being our first 'Londony' adventure we went to The Scoop down by Tower Bridge, which is this really cool outdoor pavilion seating area where they play movies on a giant screen. The best part of all... it's free! So we ventured over after work with another colleague to see Skyfall. It is actually a great little place to watch a movie and I really did enjoy myself. The only downfall was it rained the entire time we were there. We sat in the rain from 6-9pm then gave up and went for shelter indoors at a pub. We didn't end up seeing the whole movie but it was still a really cool experience and I definitely recommend it to all Londoners.

Back in London

First week back in London has been really good. I was a little hesitant to come back based on a few things that were going on when I left but I'm glad that it all seems to be working out. I started back up at school with my new class and it seems to be shaping out to look like a good year ahead.

Obviously I love my school and also my coworkers and for the first time since being over here I got the feeling that I'm exactly where I'm suppose to be right now. It's a good feeling to have.

I have also been tyring to organize my room in my flat and put everything away but I don't have enough spots to store all my clothes so I ventured to Ikea and bought a shelf and a few boxes for it. It looks great after all my mishaps of putting it together wrong. Note to self next time follow the directions exact... don't make up your own steps.

The Ikea here is amazing and I seriously could have bought soooo much stuff but I'm currently ballin on a budget for a while so I had to only get the necessities -  A shelf and a full length mirror. I would still like to get another shelf, a floor lamp, a rug and maybe a couple bean bag chairs to complete the room. I will post a full room makeover once it's all complete.

sleep addition

Lets talk about this little thing called jet lag.

IT SUCKS!

I pretty much feel like this since I have been back ...

My sleeping pattern is all out of wack and for someone like me who loves sleep this is simply unacceptable!

Day 1 Thursday/Friday - Left Detorit at 10.30pm arrived in London the following morning at 11am.
Sleep count = maybe two hours of mixed restless sleep

Day 2 Friday - Was exhausted and ended up passing out from 6pm - 8pm and then counted get back to sleep for the night.
Sleep count = 2 hours

Day 3 Saturday - Awake all Friday night until 6am Saturday then finally slept till 10am.
Sleep count = 4 hours

Day 4 Saturday/Sunday  - Went out with friends all night and ended up crashing at 2am till 8am. Then I woke up had a bagel and went back to sleep from 10am - 2pm.
Sleep count = 10 hours

Day 5  Sunday night - Slept 10pm - 1am then was awake till 6.30am where I finally went back to sleep for an hour before my alarm woke me up for work.
Sleep count = 4 hours

Now lets add this up... usually I sleep about 8 hours a night so 5x8 is 40.
But over this little 5 day  in slept for 22 hours. About half the amount that I usually sleep.

Now were falling to Monday where I just spent a full day at school after having only slept till 1am for the night.
Lets hope tonight I actually stay asleep for the full night. *fingers crossed*

Cheers,
